Ferntree Gully and Upper Ferntree Gully have a diverse retail environment. Mountain Gate shopping precinct and the Ferntree gully town centre are both well frequented by locals. On a clear day you can see the ships on the bay, the rolling hills of Lysterfield and even the You Yangs for those up the top of the hill.
